Eduardo, whom most people know as Charro, is originally from Acambaro, Guanajuato in Mexico. Growing up, he went to school and helped his father with the family farm growing corn, beans and lamb. Charro emigrated to the U.S. when he was eighteen.

Charro is the employee who has worked in the strawberry breeding program the longest: he started as a contract laborer under Royce Bringhurst, and eventually became a permanent employee based at the Wolfskill Experimental Orchard.

Charro is primarily responsible for irrigation fertigation, field preparation and maintenance, and organizing seasonal contract labor.
